Beach & Forest Eco Adventure
Pemberton Discovery Tours
Price: AUD $150.00
Property Description
Welcome to our half-day Beach & Forest Eco Adventure where we will 4WD into the Warren & D'Entrecasteaux National Parks near Pemberton!
We'll start by exploring the old-growth Karri Forest, which is home to some of the tallest trees in the world. You might not be able to access these areas on your own, but with our expert guidance, you'll get to experience the magic of this ancient forest up close.
Next, we'll head to the Yeagarup Lake to reduce our tyre pressures before traversing the Yeagarup Dunes, the largest landlocked sand dunes in the Southern Hemisphere. These dunes are slowly moving 4m per year into the forest and are now 6km in from the beach - it's a truly remarkable sight.
As we travel through the national parks, we'll also get to see the seasonal coastal heath wildflowers, which add a totally different element to the landscape. It's a real treat for nature lovers!
We sometimes make a stop at the Yeagarup Hut, an off-road accessible camping site. It's the perfect opportunity to refuel and take in the beautiful scenery.
Then, we'll head to Yeagarup Beach, a stunning stretch of sand that's only accessible by 4WD. It's a secluded and stunning spot, where we travel for up to 5km driving along the beach to the mouth of the Warren River.
Our final stop will be at the Warren River mouth, where the river meets the ocean. Depending on the season, the river can open and close, making for some unique and ever-changing scenery with magic. It's the perfect place to watch for seasonal migratory birds, or take a dip in the river mouth (weather dependant).
We return back to the lake for a picnic lunch before heading back to Pemberton.
Our tours are family-run and owned, and we've been in business since 1999. We keep our groups small, with a maximum of 13 people in one vehicle, so that we can offer you a truly personalized experience.
Please contact us via email, phone or Facebook if your dates and times do not fit in with the calendar - most times we are able to make changes to suit your itinerary - (the 9am tour is standard unless a 2pm tour (afternoon tea) is arranged.)
Please note we do endeavour to run this tour with a minimum of 4 and are unable to offer senior rates to groups less than this number.
